Flower Girls And Ring Bearers: Keeping Track Of The Littlest Guests
When I was little, I was extremely smart, alert and attentive. I was also detail oriented. And, I was always up to the task because I new I would do a great job at it. When my uncle got married, I would’ve given anything to be the flower girl. Unfortunately, his bride already had a flower girl in mind so I was stuck collecting gifts and manning the sign in station. I did a great job at that, but I always new I would have been a wonderful flower girl.
If you are currently planning your wedding, you will have to pick your own flower girl and your future spouse will need a ring bearer. Although these guests may seem little, it will be important that you keep track of them on your big day.
The flower girl and the ring bearer play a crucial role in your wedding ceremony. Keep in mind that they are also young children that are easily distracted. Also, the adults around will most likely be doing adult things and they might not be around to help if a crisis occurs. So, practice with the kids to make sure nothing goes wrong. Additionally, give them as many details as necessary. You might even tell them where they need to place their hands. This will help everything run smoothly and look right. Good luck.
Choosing the Best Boy For the Part
To be sure, a ring bearer adds a distinct cute factor in any wedding (including yours, no less). But even if you are fortunate enough to have a dozen adorable young nephews to choose from (this may be more of a problem than a gift, though, since you get to pick your ‘favorite’ nephew among the bunch), your ring bearer should first be up to the huge responsibility of carrying the wedding rings down the aisle, even if the rings are fake. For a young boy, a four-hour ceremony and a mere thirty paces can be an eternity, which means that there are plenty of opportunities for self-preoccupation. Even though a little playfulness wouldn’t hurt (boys will be boys), make sure that your ring bearer is mature enough to take on such a pivotal role in your wedding ceremony.
