Who’s Handling What? Delegating For Your Special Day

1138690_tunnel_of_lovePlanning a wedding can be so much fun and so stressful at the same time. For most people, they like to hire a wedding planner to deal with the details of the day, because there is so much to keep track of. You are dealing with so many vendors, two different families, extended families, and the money of course. This can be stressful and difficult to keep track of. However, many of us do not have the luxury of hiring a wedding planner. And, although you may not have the organizational skills best suited for the job, do your best to plan for the day by delegating. Then, remember whom you tasked the project to.

If you try to micromanage your wedding you will go insane by the time the wedding arrives. However, if you let your mother plan it all, you will also be sad that you didn’t have more of a say. So, be involved and delegate out things that other people can do. For example, some of the financial issues can be taken care of by your fiancé. Also, your fiancé and his best man can choose their own attire. Your mother can also be extremely helpful. Involve her in whatever little task comes up that you need help with – things like writing the place cards. And, lastly, have you father help as well, even if it is just on the big day and he is the one in charge of your honeymoon luggage.

Planning For A Theme Wedding

1174432_engagementI just got invited to a carnival themed wedding. The invitation came complete with a ticket for admission and a ride on the Ferris wheel. There were also photo booth pictures of the bride and groom to be. And, the wedding will be taking place outside. It sounds a lot like a big party. It is definitely a wedding that I am excited to attend. If you want your wedding to be different or if you do not have the money for the lavish expensive wedding, than a themed wedding may be the way to go.

When you are planning a themed wedding, you basically are planning a party that is a lot more elaborate. The concepts of the party remain the same though. The same details you would consider when you plan a party or a wedding still have to be considered. Who are you going to invite? When are you going to have it and where? With a themed wedding, the clothing and decorations may change a little bit.

First decide what your theme is going to be and then start planning. Keep in mind that your theme will reflect your personality, so pick one that speaks to who you are as a couple and have fun with it.

Purses, Veils, And Shoes: Oh, My!

1076466_bridesmaids_1When I was in high school, shopping for school dances was so much fun. My mom and I would go from store to store looking for the perfect dress. Once I decided on the perfect dress then we would buy everything else that we needed to coordinate with the dress. There was this one store in the mall that had great purses, earrings, and other accessories. I usually got some things there. And, then I would pick out some shoes. The shoes always completed the outfit.

If you are currently shopping for your wedding, you are probably going through a similar process. You’ve picked out your dress and now you need items to accessorize with.

• One of the biggest wedding day accessories is the veil. There are so many different options for your veil – short, medium, long, plain, embellished. When buying a veil, consider how you are going to wear you hair first.
• People forget this item a lot, but you will be lost without it. Find a purse for the day. You will be glad you have a place to put your lip gloss for touch ups.
• Shoes!!!! Beautiful shoes are a girl’s prized possession. However, they can also turn into your archenemy if they torture your feat all day. Make sure your shoes are wearable.

Getting The Best Prices On Bridal Jewelry

1076532_wedding_rings_1After the proposal, the first thing on every girl’s mind is her wedding dress. What kind will she buy? How will she look in it? It has to be perfect. A girl’s wedding dress is arguably the most important item of clothing she will ever purchase. However, a dress by itself is relatively boring no matter how fabulous the dress is. You have to find the perfect shoes. And, then of course comes JEWELRY! Jewels are a girl’s best friend. Everyone looks better with a little bling. And, if you’ve already got a big rock on your finger, you are going to want to get the right wedding day jewelry to compliment it.

Bridal jewelry and accessories come in so many different options. There are basic necklaces, bracelets, and earrings. However, you also have the option of accessorizing with crowns and tiaras.

Once you find your dress, decide what type of jewelry you will need for your special day. Then shop around. Do not buy from the first place you look. There are a lot of great deals online. Check those out and get the best price for the jewelry you are looking for. Then you will be ready to “rock” on your big day.
