Arranging Seating: It’s Important For Peace And Harmony
We have all been to a wedding where we sat at a table that we really enjoyed. And, then there was the time when we attended a wedding and were forced to sit by the really annoying guest. It made the entire experience of the wedding miserable. Unfortunately, arranged seating at a wedding can often be as bad as an arranged marriage. However, it does not have to be like this. There are things you can do to make sure you guests have an enjoyable time at your wedding, and that they enjoy who they are sitting next to. Here are some great ideas:
• Keep married couples and couples who are dating together. No one likes to be separated from his or her significant other.
• Instead of having a children’s table, keep children under the age of 10 with their parents. If you prefer, you could have a table for teenagers.
• Do not sit divorced couples or estranged relatives at the same table.
• Take into consideration physical handicaps and elderly people.
• Assign tables, not seats. Then, let them choose whom to sit next to.
• Print out cards with table assignments. Use bold print so the cards are easy to find.
