Who’s Handling What? Delegating For Your Special Day

1138690_tunnel_of_lovePlanning a wedding can be so much fun and so stressful at the same time. For most people, they like to hire a wedding planner to deal with the details of the day, because there is so much to keep track of. You are dealing with so many vendors, two different families, extended families, and the money of course. This can be stressful and difficult to keep track of. However, many of us do not have the luxury of hiring a wedding planner. And, although you may not have the organizational skills best suited for the job, do your best to plan for the day by delegating. Then, remember whom you tasked the project to.

If you try to micromanage your wedding you will go insane by the time the wedding arrives. However, if you let your mother plan it all, you will also be sad that you didn’t have more of a say. So, be involved and delegate out things that other people can do. For example, some of the financial issues can be taken care of by your fiancé. Also, your fiancé and his best man can choose their own attire. Your mother can also be extremely helpful. Involve her in whatever little task comes up that you need help with – things like writing the place cards. And, lastly, have you father help as well, even if it is just on the big day and he is the one in charge of your honeymoon luggage.
