Planning a Honeymoon
Your honeymoon will be one of your most exciting vacations as a married couple. A honeymoon is, as stated in one dictionary, a period of harmony immediately following a marriage, including a trip, or a vacation by a newly married couple. Regardless if you are able to go on your honeymoon immediately or not, make sure the chosen place is a mutual decision, and a new place to be experienced by both of you. Being a new place, you can build a memory of your first trip together as a married couple. Decide on a destination that will have activities that both of you enjoy.
Some couples are unable to take an immediate honeymoon. This should not stop the new couple from enjoying some time immediately following their marriage. If you are strapped for money, you can also stay at your new home, and take a honeymoon abroad at a future time. If you decide to take this route, be sure to shut all your phones off, and enjoy your mate. After all the hubbub of the wedding, you need some quiet time together. After life starts, you can never turn the clock back and get this time together again.
Hawaii is the most popular destination for a honeymoon. Granted, not everyone can afford to take a trip to Hawaii. If this is the case for you, choose from among the top 10 destinations which can be found online. Some of these include California, Florida, New York/Niagara Falls, Delaware and the Pocono’s. Some have thought it best to decide on a date and place, and then visit a travel agent. Your travel agent is working for you and therefore, should be able to find you the best deals for your budget. If you plan a trip online, be careful. Do a lot of research, and ask others where they may recommend you go. Many have chosen an all-inclusive resort in an exotic place, or decide to take a road trip together. Whatever you decide, remember it is a time to relax and get to know your new husband or wife.
