Be Sure To Have Guests RSVP
When you send out invitations to your wedding, there is no way to determine how many people will actually attend unless you have them RVSP. If you wanted to, you could call the list of invites you sent out, but that would be time consuming and a little bit tacky. You could also determine a ballpark figure. Or, you could include a stamped, addressed postcard in the invitation that asks for their RSVP. When your invitees receive this, all they have to do is check yes or no and put it back in the mail. Although the added postage may seem costly when your budget is already tight, it will most likely save you money in the long run.
Part of planning the wedding involves knowing the guest count. The more accurate you can be, the better it will be for cost purposes. This is particularly important when it comes to renting chairs and tables.
Also, consider how helpful it will be to know the number of guests when you are determining the food. You will not have to worry about running out of food or paying for too much. So, get an RVSP card that matches your invitation. You will be so glad that you did.
