How To Decide Who To Invite – Narrowing Down The Guest List

1186822_puzzle_time_4Part of planning a wedding means dealing with the stress of the guest list. No one really wants to neglect his or her long lost friend from high school. However, the more people you invite, the more money you have to pay out of your pocket. And, there are also other issues like limited space. So, coming up with the perfect guest list for your wedding might take a little time and some strategy. However, it is possible.

First, you have to determine who can actually come. You might be inviting a bunch of relatives that live out of town and will not be able to make it. In a few calls, you could narrow down your list by 20 people if this is the case. Also, make a list of “maybes” in case people change their mind. Second, consider whom you must have at your wedding. These people probably include your family and close friends. Last, start making your list from the inner circle and then add from there.

Remember this is your day. You should never feel obligated to invite anyone just because you knew him or her a few years ago or your dad used to work with him or her. Spend the day with the people that you care about.
