Gifts for Your Wedding Entourage

It is customary for the bride and the groom to receive gifts. However, the guests are not the only one who should give gifts. The bride and the groom should also be thoughtful enough to give their wedding party gifts. The happy couple should find gifts for their parents, the best man, the maid of honor, the groomsmen, the bridesmaids, the major sponsors, the ushers, the flower girls, and the ring bearers.

The reason

Every member of your wedding party is crucial to the success of your wedding ceremony. Your parents gave you their support and what financial assistance they could give you, and the support is not likely to end at the conclusion of the ceremony. Your best man and maid of honor were vital in assisting you in your preparations. They made sure that the clergyman and the choir got paid. They made sure that your ensembles got returned to the rentals.

Your bridesmaids, your groomsmen, your major sponsors, your ushers, your flower girls, and your ring bearers had their roles to play in the wedding ceremony. Without them, your wedding ceremony couldn’t have been as solemn as it turned out to be.

Furthermore, everyone in your wedding entourage took the time to attend your rehearsal dinners and left their jobs and other commitments to be part of your wedding celebration. Without their support, you couldn’t have had as memorable a wedding as you had. Giving the members of your wedding entourage gifts will just show your appreciation for their effort and support.

By the way, be sure to include something in your gift list for anyone who’s not actually part of your wedding party but who performed something important for you on your wedding day and preparations.

The gift

The gifts for each member of the wedding party should not be the same. Give gifts that each person would appreciate. When choosing an appropriate gift for a wedding party member, think of the role that member played in your wedding.

It would be ideal if you have the gifts prepared well in advance. During the wedding reception, you can go around the members of your party and give them your gifts. Include a special card with each gift that has a personalized message on it.

If you had no time to buy gifts before the wedding, then make sure to buy some on your honeymoon trip. These gifts need not be expensive. They merely have to be chosen based on the interests of the intended recipient.
